American Idol Season 10: Hollywood Rounds 2 and 3 Recap

In American Idol season 10, 327 contestants made it to Hollywood. In the first Hollywood round, the judges narrowed it down to 168. In the dramatic second Hollywood round, which is the group round, the judges narrowed it down to 101. The group round is the most dramatic Hollywood round. One controversial move is that Jordan Dorsey changed groups, sparking controversy among American Idol viewers. He turned down Scott McCreery and several others. He defected from the group 440 and formed the group Four Plus One. In the third Hollywood, the judges narrowed it down to 60. Jacqueline Dunford withdrew from the competition in this round.  I have been so impressed with Jacob Lusk's performance in that round. Another stand performance was from Ashthon Jones. After that comes the Vegas round, which is an addition for American Idol season 10.

327 contestants made it to Hollywood on American Idol season 10, compared to less than 200 in the previous seasons. The first Hollywood round of season 10 is different from that of the previous seasons. Unlike the previous seasons, there is no judges feedback in the first Hollywood round, and it is either go big or go home, thus sudden death. In the first Hollywood round, the judges narrowed the contestants down from 327 to 168.

The first Hollywood began with Brett Loewenstern, the 15-year-old social outcast who auditioned in New Orleans. He nailed "Let It Be", and the judges smiled for the performance. After he made it through, he vowed that he was moving on from being a social outcast.

22-year-old New Yorker Rachel Zevita, who originally auditioned for season 6, went from zero to hero. She was confident and feisty and performed "Warwick Avenue", and the judges were surprised and impressed.

American Idol season 10 Hollywood round

Tonight, the Hollywood round begins for American Idol season 10. Over 300 contestants made it to Hollywood on American Idol season 10, compared to less than 200 in the previous seasons, but only 20 will be chosen to compete in this season, and only one will be crowned the tenth American Idol. In New Jersey, we got the hard-luck Bronx tale of Travis Orlando. In New Orleans, we got the jazzy music teacher Jordan Dorsey, the J. Lo fanatic Jovany Barreto, and the social outcast Brett Loewenstern, as well as 15-year-old Lafayette native Jaycee Badeaux. The Milwaukee auditions gave us country crooner Scott McCreery, soul sister Naima Adedapo, bar mitzvah soul singer Jerome Bell, and a stellar 15-year-old girl Thia Megia. It also yielded the emotional story of Chris Medina. The auditions came to a dramatic conclusion with hard-luck 21-year-old father James Durbin, Colombian exile Julie Zorrilla, and car crash survivor Stefano Lagone.

American Idol season 10 begins tomorrow night

American Idol season 10 premieres on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. This season will be unlike season 9 in several ways. First of all the panel of judges will be markedly different. Randy Jackson is the only returning judge, now that Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kara DioGuardi left the judging panel. The two new judges are Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. The middle rounds have also changed. First is the audition round, and then the Hollywood Round, then the Las Vegas round, then the Sing for Your Life round, then the green mile round, and finally the live rounds.  The first audition episode, which is two hours, will cover the New York and New Jersey auditions, followed by the one-hour second audition episode, which covers the New Orleans auditions. According to Joe's Place, the top 40 are already chosen, but the top 20 is not yet revealed.

The live rounds begin March 1, 2011. The first week is semifinal week, which will air Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The male contestants will perform on Tuesday, then the female contestants on Wednesday, and the Results and Wild Card show on Thursday. Ten finalists will be chosen by the American public, and two or three finalists will be chosen by the judges.

TZ Doctrine tenet #21: Truth and honesty are superior to profit and political correctness

It is unethical to put financial gain and political correctness ahead of truth and honesty.  Our society has been blinded by political correctness, and many corporations have been blinded by financial gain.  There has been a feminised education system, a criminal justice system that unjustly favors the female sex, laws enacted based on financial gain rather than common sense, and corporations that put profit before human safety and common sense. Western society is very dishonest, unequal, and unjust.  I am unhappy with the current educational system that disproportionately favors female students instead of male students. An education system like that has a disastrous ripple effect. The idea of a feminised education system is maladaptive and unnatural. I do not condone misandry, or double standards or moral defamation against the male sex.

Solving problems is not accomplished by arrogance, censorship, false pride, political correctness, or monetary greed. If we want to create an honest, equal, and just society, we must be objective and truthful, and not let one another be biased by self-promoting motives.

Jennifer Grey wins DWTS season 11

On November 23, 2010, Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Elise Grey, who was born in New York City on March 20, 1960, is the 11th champion of Dancing With the Stars, thus winning the mirrorball trophy. The runner-up is rapper and Disney star Kyle Massey from Atlanta, Georgia, whom I voted for after R&B singer Brandy got eliminated the week before.  I am glad the controversial political figure Bristol Palin finished in third place. Jennifer Grey got a judges' score of 118, and Kyle Massey got a judges' score of 110, and Bristol Palin got a judges' score of 97. Brandy should have been in the finals instead of Bristol. If Brandy were in the finals, Kyle would have finished in third place.  At the finale Brandy performed her week 5 quickstep performance a third time.  Now there is Skating With the Stars, and on that show, I am pulling for Brandon Mychal Smith.
