My Top 10 Biggest Reality TV Upsets

I have had my fair share of reality television upsets. Sometimes I pin the elimination of the said contestant on the voting bloc of one of the other contestants. My top 10 upsets in reality television history are are:

10. On November 11, 2009, Pauline Mata was ceremoniously eliminated at top 16 alongside Peter Sabasino on So You Think You Can Dance season 6.
9. Arthur Wornum was unanimously eliminated at week 9 on The Biggest Loser season 11. The culprit was Rulon Gardner. The episode was originally broadcast on March 1, 2011.
8. Shay Sorrells was eliminated at week 9 on The Biggest Loser season 8, falling below the yellow line with Amanda Arlauskas. The episode was originally broadcast on November 10, 2009.
7. Koli Palu elected to eliminate Victoria Andrews, who fell below the yellow line with Sunshine Hampton, at week 14 on The Biggest Loser season 9; he was a gameplayer. He and Sam Poeou formed and alliance with O'Neal and Sunshine Hampton. However, he was eliminated by public vote at the finale, in favor of Daris George. The episode was originally broadcast on April 20, 2010.
6. On March 4, 2010, Jermaine Sellers was ceremoniously eliminated at top 20 alongside John Park, Michelle Delamor, and Haeley Vaughnon American Idol season 9. He should have made the top 12 instead of Andrew Garcia.
5. On November 16, 2010, Brandy Norwood was controversially eliminated on semifinal week of Dancing With the Stars season 11. She should have made the finals instead of Bristol Palin. Her elimination was pinned on the Tea Party movement.
4. On July 7, 2011, Ashley Rich was eliminated at top 14 alongside her partner Chris Koehl on So You Think You Can Dance season 8. Mary Murphy and Travis Wall are wrong about her. The judges' decision was demographically incorrect. She should have made it through in place of Ryan Ramirez. She should have made the top 10 in place of Clarice Ordiz, who is so much choreographically inferior to her. I loved Ashley and Chris's last routine on the show. America went out of touch by shipping Sasha Mallory and Melanie Moore to the top 4. Had America voted more honestly, Ashley would have a shot of making the top 4.
3. On March 11, 2010, Todrick Hall was eliminated at top 16 alongside Alex Lambert, Katelyn Epperly, and Lilly Scott on American Idol season 9. He should have made the top 12 instead of Tim Urban, who made the top 24 upon the disqualification of Chris Golighty.
2. On February 28, 2008, Alexandréa Lushington was eliminated at top 20 alongside Alaina Whittaker, Robbie Carrico, and Jason Yeager on American Idol season 7. She should have made the top 12 instead of Kristy Lee Cook.
1. On March 11, 2009, my all-time favorite American Idol contestant Jasmine Murray was ceremoniously eliminated alongside Jorge Núñez at top 13. She should have made the top 10 instead of Michael Sarver. She is really top 3 material. She has a shot of being more commercially successful than the top 11, including the top 4. Her only true competition are Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta, and the rest of the top 11 are clearly vocally inferior to her.

SYTYCD cuts Robert Taylor, Jr. and Miranda Maleski; Ashley Rich and Chris Koehl in jeopardy

Last week, Robert Taylor, Jr. and Miranda Maleski were eliminated from the competition on So You Think You Can Dance, determining the season's top 14. The judges decision to eliminate Robert was unanimous, but their decision to eliminate Miranda was not. Miranda, a 19-year-old contemporary dancer, was originally from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She currently resides in North Hollywood, California. Robert Taylor, a 31-year-old hip hop dancer from Brooklyn, New York, currrently resides in New York City. They were eliminated by judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy and guest judges Kristin Chenoweth and Lil C, after they found themselves in the week's bottom 3 couples based on home viewer votes following the performance show.

First eliminations of SYTYCD season 8

Last week, there was a double elimination, since the judges elected not to eliminate anyone the week before that. Last week, four dancers got the first boot. They are Wadi Jones, a 24-year-old break dancer from Ossining, New York; Nick Young, a 19-year-old tap dancer from Franklin, Wisconsin; Iveta Lukosiute, a 30-year-old ballroom dancer from Klaipeda, Lithuania; and Missy Morelli, a 20-year-old jazz dancer from Arvada, Colorado. Of the three lowest vote-getting couples, the judges spared Ricky Jaime and Ryan Ramirez, who were the first couple to perform that performance night. My favorite couple Chris Koehl and Ashley Rich were the last couple to perform that night, and I am glad they were not in the bottom three.

So You Think You Can Dance top 20 remains intact

In the first week of So You Think You Can Dance season 8 voting round, it is difficult to predict who America will pull for, though I am pulling for Ashley and Chris. Last week, the viewers voted to put Jordan Casanova and Tadd Gadduang, Jess LeProtto and Clarice Ordiz, and Miranda Maleski and Robert Taylor, Jr., to be in danger of being eliminated. Mitchell Kelly was supposed to dance with Caitlynn Lawson, but due to shoulder injury, the doctors barred him from performing his routine, thus putting him at risk of elimination. Robert Roldan from season 7 substituted for him for the evening. Clarice had little screen time in Vegas, and Jess's personality was a joke. I predicted that Miranda and Mitchell would be eliminated. However, the judges elected not to eliminate anyone. That means that this week, two guys and two girls will be eliminated. On a side note, due to a power outtage, I did not watch last week's performance show, but I was relieved that Ashley Rich and Chris Koehl were not in the bottom 3 and that Robert Taylor, Jr. was spared by the judges.

Top 20 of So You Think You Can Dance season 8 revealed

Last Thursday night, the top 20 of So You Think You Can Dance season 8 has been revealed in a live episode with pre-recorded green-mile segments. I doubt whether I am happy with the top 20. The season will begin with the original format. When the number of contestants gets narrowed down to a top 10, it will switch to the season 7 all-star format.

Mary Murphy has returned to the judging panel, replacing Mia Michaels after being absent from season 7 due to contract disputes and undergoing surgery to remove thyroid tumor. Permanent judge and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe has announced that musician Will.i.am will be a guest judge in season 8.

I am pulling for Robert Taylor, Jr. on the male side and Ashley Rich on the female side. I will be upset if either of them go home on June 16. Mitchell Kelly got injured this week. If Robert Taylor, Jr., goes home I will pull for Wadi Jones. If Ashley Rich goes home this week, I will pull for Sasha Malloy.

TZ Doctrine Tenet #22: The Federal Reserve Must End

As a tribute to AbolishtheFederalReserve.org, I support the abolition of the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve is a misnomer, because it is actually a privately owned central bank without reserves. It is not a functionary of the U.S. government. They so-called "create" money and then exchange it for U.S. bonds. This is known as "monetizing debt", which ruins the U.S. economy. The Federal Reserve's true agenda is to make a profit at the expense of everyone living in the United States of America.

If it was not for the Federal Reserve, there would have been no need for house foreclosures or automobile repossesions.

Idol Viewers Love Scotty This Big

Over 122,000,000 votes have been counted. 125,000 people auditioned for American Idol season 10. Only 327 advanced to the Hollywood rounds. The judges narrowed it down to 168 in the first Hollywood round. They narrowed it down to 101 in the second Hollywood round, and down to 61 in the third Hollywood round. They narrowed it down to 40 in the Las Vegas round. After they narrowed it down to 24, the voting rounds began. During the semifinal week, the pool of contestants was narrowed down to 13, and after that, one finalist is eliminated week by week until it is down to Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina.  As predicted on the Internet, the teenage country boy Scotty McCreery, who hails from Garner, North Carolina, has been crowned the tenth American Idol. Therefore, Lauren Alaina is the runner-up.  How Scotty McCreery won is going to be used against him, because he won based on popularity and due to vote concentration. He has overtaken Jordin Sparks as the youngest American Idol winner. James Durbin should have won instead of him. McCreery's first single is "Love You This Big." Country music is my least favorite music genre. Will Scotty's Idol fame be a flash or a fixture in country music?
