After a two-month hiatus, it is time to resume on the series about the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. This time it is Fighter #04 and #04e, which are Samus and her Echo Fighter Dark Samus.
Samus is the protagonist of the Metroid series, since the original game Metroid. When the original game first came out in 1986, it was not a well-known fact that Samus is a woman. She was my favorite Nintendo character, until I discovered Fire Emblem. She is the galaxy's most famous bounty hunter, often helping the Galactic Federation fight off the Space Pirates. Little is known about her childhood and her time with the Galactic Federation.
Samus is widely praised as one of Nintendo's most iconic heroines, and a groundbreaking example of a powerful female protagonist in video games. Another groundbreaking Nintendo heroine is my favorite Nintendo character, Ayra from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
Samus was designed by Hiroji Kiyotake, who would later design Wario, who debuted in Super Mario Land 2: The Six Golden Coins.
Then there is Dark Samus, her Echo Fighter.
