American Idol renewed for 2020

TheIdolPad.com is pleased to announced that ABC has renewed American Idol for season 18 (or season 3 on ABC). Having said that, major changes are expected to happen. Sadly, the show is on thin ice.

American Idol Season 17 Top 14 and Song Choices

American Idol season 17 (or season 2 on ABC) premiered on March 3, 2019. The top 14 was already revealed in advance on TheIdolPad.com.

Here are your top 14:

  • Alejandro Aranda (keyboard and disc jockey set) - "One Dance" by Drake, WizKid, & Kyla
  • Alyssa Raghunandan (no instrument) - "She Used to Be Mine" by Sara Bareilles
  • Ashley Hess (piano) - "Fix You" by Coldplay
  • Dimitrius Graham (no instrument) - "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran
  • Eddie Island (no instrument) - "Bennie and the Jets" by Elton John
  • Evelyn Cormier (no instrument) - "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World
  • Jeremiah Harmon (piano) - "We All Fall in Love Sometimes" by Elton John
  • Laci Kay Booth (no instrument) - "I Miss You" by Blink-182
  • Laine Hardy (guitar) - "That's All Right (Mama)" by Arthur Crudup / Elvis Presley
  • Madison VanDenburg (piano) - "Fallin'" by Alicia Keys
  • Riley Thompson (no instrument) - "Suds in the Bucket" by Sara Evans
  • Uché Ndubizu (no instrument) - "Finesse" by Bruno Mars
  • Wade Cota (with guitar) - "Trouble" by Ray LaMontagne
  • Walker Burroughs (no instrument) - "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" by Margery MacKay (from The Sound of Music)
The top 10 will be chosen like this: 7 will be chosen by public vote, and 3 will be chosen by the judges. Who I predict will make the top 10 are:

  • Alejandro Aranda
  • Alyssa Raghunandan
  • Ashley Hess
  • Dimitrius Graham
  • Jeremiah Harmon
  • Laci Booth
  • Laine Hardy (He's the last person I want to win.)
  • Madison VanDenburg
  • Uché Ndubizu
  • Walker Burroughs
The last person I want to win is Laine Hardy, because he reminds me of Phillip Phillips. He is more of the same as many of the past American Idol winners. Anyone else is fine with me. My favorites are Dimitrius Graham, Uché Ndubizu, Ashley Hess, and Madison VanDenburg.
