I think SNK Corporation, formerly known as SNK Playmore, should be represented on the Super Smash Bros. battlefield with two fighters: Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury (known in Japan as Garou Densetsu) and Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown (known in Japan as Samurai Spirits), who both appeared in The King of Fighters XIV. For this reason, there used to be a nonprofit organization known as the Nakoruru and Terry Club, founded in 2004. They would share the same stage, Iguazu Falls, which is based on The King of Fighters XIV. Nakoruru would be the first third-party character to have a tether recovery, a technique that Link, Toon Link, Samus, Zero Suit Samus, and Lucas have. Terry and Nakoruru would bring the King of Fighters XIV fighting engine with them to the Super Smash Bros. battlefield. They would fill their Max meter by dealing or taking damage, including shield damage. However, the Super Moves will KO at 200%. Also, other characters from Fatal Fury and Samurai Shodown would appear as trophies.
Terry Bogard's newcomer intro video features him playing Super Smash Bros. and suddenly Master Hand drags him into the game and therefore the Super Smash Bros. battlefield. Nakoruru's newcomer intro video features her defeating Verse at the end of the King of Fighters XIV tournament and Master Hand shows up and drags her to the Super Smash Bros. battlefield.
