DialIdol predictions came true: Jacob Lusk gets No Air

DialIdol.com predictions have come true. Last week, Jacob Lusk has finished in a place where I have predicted: fifth place. He has gotten a one-way plane ticket back to Compton, California. His first performance of "No Air", which was orignially recorded as a duet between season 6 winner Jordin Sparks and controversial R&B star Chris Brown. He was in the bottom 2 with Lauren Alaina. His second performance of "Love Hurts" was a lot better.

Jacob Lusk ranks at no. 4 among my all-time favorites, being ranked between season 4 finalist Vonzell Solomon and season 2 winner Ruben Studdard.  Upon elimination, he sang the Luther Vandross classic "A House Is Not a Home", a performance that earned him a spot in the top 13.  His Hollywood round performance of "God Bless the Child" was considered by Randy Jackson to be the best performance ever. He will bring something new to the music industry as well as bring back the style of Luther Vandross. The top 4 will bring nothing new to the music industry.

This week I will vote for James Durbin. To vote for him, dial 1-866-436-5701 or 1-866-436-5705.

My prediction is that Haley Reinhart will go home this week. Lauren Alaina will get third place. Scotty McCreery will be the runner-up, and James Durbin will be crowned the tenth American Idol.
